Safety isn’t “a” priority. It’s THE priority.

The Volks Constructors mission statement spells it out — “… without compromising the safety of anyone involved …” — and it’s in everything we do. From day one, safety has been integral to our entire operation, from owners and office staff to our fabrication shops and workforce in the field. Having employed over 8,000 craftsmen who’ve worked upwards of 3.5 million man-hours in the past five years, it’s critical that we maintain a workforce that’s 100 % committed to our safety priorities. To do this, we continually ensure that each Volks manager, supervisor and employee understands his or her safety responsibilities, which allows everyone to perform at our high company standards.

Volks holds membership in the National Safety Council and the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). Our comprehensive safety program includes:

• Supervisors training course, mandatory first aid and CPR certification
• Safety orientation for all personnel
• Issuance of a Safety Rule Booklet to all field personnel
• Pre-job and pre-task planning
• Daily safety meetings and audits at each worksite
• Weekly corporate safety audits at each worksite
• Substance Abuse Program with mandatory pre-employment testing for all employees
